Why you need this button
EU Directive 2023/2673 requires B2C online stores across the European Union to offer a clear, easy-to-find withdrawal button, so customers don't have to hunt for PDF forms or hidden email addresses to exercise their statutory right of withdrawal. Each EU member state transposes the directive into its own national law, on its own timeline — check the requirements that apply in the countries you sell into.
What the directive requires:
Visibility — an easy-to-find button (e.g. in the footer or the orders section), clearly labelled ("Request a return" / "Withdraw from this contract").
Two-step procedure — the customer first enters order details (name, order number, items), then confirms on a final button, to avoid mistakes.
Automatic receipt — the system must immediately send the buyer a confirmation with the date and time of the request, on a durable medium.
If a store doesn't offer this, or doesn't inform the customer correctly, the withdrawal period extends from 14 days to 12 months under existing EU consumer law.
Withdrawal Button implements exactly these three requirements out of the box, and does it natively in Magento 2 — no PDF forms, no manual email inbox to monitor.
What it does
Two-step withdrawal form: order details, then a final confirmation button
Verifies the order actually exists and matches the email provided — no blind acceptance
Sends native Magento emails automatically: confirmation to the customer, notification to the admin
Configurable notification email address, separate from the store's default
Admin grid of all requests, paginated, with a status dropdown (Pending / Processing / Handled / Rejected)
Button text and CSS class configurable from the admin, within safe limits that won't break your theme
Optional widget (Content > Widgets) to place the request link anywhere — footer, CMS page, orders area
Fully compatible with the Hyvä theme
Fully translated, in 7 languages
The request form, emails and admin interface are available in:
English Italiano Español Français Deutsch Português Nederlands
Magento automatically shows the module in whichever language each admin user has configured — no setup needed.
Not satisfied within 30 days of purchase? Request a refund yourself from your account area (codingrow.com/login), no questions asked. The refund is processed instantly, automatically, and the license is deactivated upon confirmation.
